So we just got to El Paraiso, Honduras today. Nicaragua was absolutely beautiful. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. Our first clinic day in Masaya was in a tiny church with a dirt floor. The med and dental teams worked indoors, and the vet team worked at a different location. We have been primarily doing patient interviews with the help of translators. The most common illnesses have been parasitic infections, gastritis and just general malnourishment. We went on a canopy tour last Wednesday, which was absolutely amazing.
Tomorrow is our first clinic day in Honduras. Hope it goes well!
